Renovation of 60’s home into a modern villa

Our clients purchased a beautiful, but outdated 60’s home in a prime location in Groningen. Their desire was to renovate the home, which is fully in 60’s style, and make it modern while still retaining the existing structure as the foundation. We created the design for the complete renovation of the entire home, taking into account the existing construction as the guide and basis.

We chose an exciting interplay between open and closed facade surfaces. The spacious garden was a key factor in the design of the architectural plan and is an integral part of the architecture. The new facade extends over two floors, allowing for optimal light to enter the home and creating a harmonious indoor-outdoor experience.
