Our clients are the owners of a beautifully located, yet externally dated villa in a wooded area. Their wish was to give their home a transformation. In our design, we enveloped the existing structure of the house with a second shell. A distinctive feature of this design is the long slatted facades, serving both an aesthetic and practical purpose, namely sun and heat protection as well as privacy. We also opted for a new roof edge and proposed to apply a keim finish to the existing facades, giving the house a partially new appearance. Considering the location of the house, nestled in nature, we chose friendly, natural materials, allowing the house to blend in with the surroundings. The various outdoor spaces are also seamlessly connected to the landscape. The wooden structures at the rear of the house will be adorned with climbing plants in the future, further enhancing the integration of the indoor and outdoor spaces.
