We are regularly asked whether we can make a design for the renovation and expansion of a 1930s home. Despite the charming and distinctive style of these homes, they are often hocky. This means that the connection between the various spaces is missing. To break that, we often have to take rigorous interventions. Consider, for example, breaking walls and installing new walls and windows. We recently made the design for the renovation of a 1930s home in Nijmegen. In addition to a new and user-friendly layout, the clients’ wish was to create more space. Especially in the kitchen. We designed a spacious extension (including an extension to the living kitchen) in the style of the home. We thought carefully about the layout and daylight entry.
