We made the design for several adjustments to the exterior of a stately villa in the center of The Netherlands. We also drew up the interior design for the entire ground floor and a design for the bathroom.
The interior design tackled the entire layout of the ground floor. Our client’s main request was to create more practical (storage) space at ground level. The existing ground floor was characterized by a huge open space and a beautiful beam construction. This beam construction remained intact in the new design. However, the degree of openness was reduced to more appealing proportions in the design, in which clear visual lines and illumination play important roles. By breaking open various walls and installing large windows, the residents get a beautiful view of the surrounding garden and the new covered terrace.
Every adaptation to the facade (new steel frames and patio doors to the terrace) were carried out with respect for the existing, characteristic house.
Finally, there was a desire to renew the current bathroom on the floor. This renovation will follow at a later stage, and will include a spacious walk-in shower, a double sink and a toilet hidden from sight.
We also made the design for the interior of a luxury kitchen in Tiel, The Netherlands. Curious? Click here.
