After purchasing a dated 1970s home, our client approached us for a complete transformation of the house. We transformed the house into a modern, sustainable villa that meets contemporary standards. The solid foundation provided sufficient opportunities, and our design focused on preserving structural elements. We replaced the existing roof with a light timber frame construction, while the exterior walls remained intact and were insulated with stone strips, plaster, and wood for a warm accent.
At the rear, we extended the house on both sides. The master bedroom offers a beautiful view of the garden, while the dining area, featuring glass walls on three sides, ensures optimal connection with the garden and swimming pond. Between these extensions, we created a covered terrace with a louvered roof, allowing daylight in while providing protection against sun and rain.
The house is energy-neutral, featuring high-quality insulation, triple glazing, a heat pump, a heat recovery system, and solar panels.
