In Heilig Landstichting, a village close to the Dutch city of Nijmegen, our firm transformed a dated villa into a luxurious and modern home. This villa, with its elongated façade and modest front, has a serene appearance that seamlessly integrates with the surroundings. The garden, sloping down to the rear, reveals the two floors and offers a stunning view of the surrounding nature.
Our design preserves the essence of the home while removing the existing sloped roof and raising the exterior walls to a ridge height of 3.5 to 4 meters. This creates a beautiful upper floor where the kitchen and living room, overlooking the leafy garden, come together.
The renovation includes a modern, insulated flat roof with invisible solar panels and high-quality finishes with plasterwork and stone strips, making the home appear to rise from the ground. New, larger window frames draw nature inside and enhance the connection with the outside world. With sustainable elements such as a heat pump and solar panels, we create an energy-neutral villa, ready for the future.
