ST House

ST House is a complete renovation of a 1910s house in Nijmegen in which the existing character of the building remained the starting point. Not to erase, but to deepen. The classic details — the woodwork, the staircases, the window profiles — have been carefully restored and form the foundation on which the new design builds.

Total renovation with preservation of character

The house has been completely renewed without losing its identity. Every design decision served the existing: materials that connect to the period, proportions that respect the original architecture. New and old elements are indistinguishable — that was the goal.

Glass facade: inside and outside as one

At the rear a new glass facade connects the kitchen directly to the garden. Daylight flows in, the boundary between inside and outside disappears. The kitchen as an extension of outdoor life.

Bathroom: natural stone and a handmade bath

The heart of the bathroom is a handmade bath by Loho, surrounded by natural stone. Floor and walls are finished in dark veined marble — book-matched, so the pattern runs through as a single composition. The fixtures are concealed, the image undisturbed. A space that doesn’t ask for attention, but one you don’t forget.
